Delivery is within 20 miles of Shy Beaver Boat Launch at Lake Raystown, Pennsylvania. Our address is 16477 Sharman Lane, James Creek, PA 16657. Visits to the property are by appointment ONLY.
We also have a self serve with limited amounts of firewood (bundles and totes with “gnarly” wood). The self serve firewood shed is at the beginning of our lane before the gate and is open 24/7. You load and take responsibility for your safety and anyone with you. Please put payment in the box.
For note, the “gnarly” wood is seasoned firewood and good for burning. It is mainly loose stacked wood crotches and other wood that doesn’t meet our standards for a quality cord. It is manageable sizes and is perfect for outdoor burners or campfires.

How We Deliver
We deliver by dump trailer or dump truck and must have reasonable access for unloading. We reserve the right to refuse unloading if we feel the location is not safe for us, our equipment, or the customer. We also reserve the right to alter a schedule due to weather conditions. Someone must be on site to take possession of the delivery.
We have a few customers just outside the 20 mile radius that we know are in areas that are not serviced by firewood sellers. We can try to accommodate you, but there is an additional fee of $3.00 per mile outside the 20 mile radius to cover our time and trucking costs. For example, if you are 23 miles from Shy Beaver Boat Launch, the extra charge would be $9.00 to deliver (23-20 miles = 3 miles outside our radius x $3/mile = $9.00 extra). We reserve the right to limit these deliveries.
Please be sure your chimney is clean and sound before burning your wood stove or fireplace.
Payment
Payment is due upon receipt. Payment must be made in cash upon arrival or by pre-approved local check. We do take credit card and addition credit card processing fees are added to the total (currently 5%). Credit card purchases must be made in advance by calling the office as our processing equipment doesn’t get good connection throughout the mountains.
There is a $25 fee plus we charge for any additional bank or other fees charged to us
for checks that are not collectible.

What is a Cord?
A cord is a stack of wood measuring 4 feet high by 4 feet wide by 8 feet long (128 cubic feet). The weight of a cord of wood will vary depending on the species and moisture content. Most seasoned (dry) hardwood cords weigh between 2,500 and 4,000 pounds.
Our firewood is composed of hardwood species (for indoor burning such as in woodstoves and fireplaces). During the summer months, we provide mixed softwoods and hardwoods for outdoor burning. Wood is split into manageable sizes and typically ranges from 16 to 20 inches in length. Please let us know whether you want 100% hardwoods or mixed hardwoods/softwoods. Our hardwood loads are primarily a mix of hickory, oak, maple, cherry, and walnut.

• If you are purchasing wood on site (excluding wood shed sales), please make an appointment prior to arrival. We are typically available most of the time, but please call ahead so we can assure that the gate is open and equipment is available to help serve you.
• Our delivery area is 20 miles from nearby Shy Beaver Boat Launch at Raystown Lake, Pennsylvania. This includes the areas of James Creek, Saxton, Broad Top City, Huntingdon, Hesston, Marklesburg, Three Springs, Seven Points, Mapleton, Martinsburg, Roaring Spring, Claysburg, New Enterprise, Hopewell, Defiance, Williamsburg, Entriken, McConnellstown, Curryville, Woodbury, Calvin, Cassville, Coaldale, Wood, Wells Tannery, Waterfall, Knightsville, Cherry Grove, Todd, Dudley, Riddlesburg, Robertsdale, Six Mile Run, Duncansville, Saltillo, Aitch, and many other areas around the Raystown Lake Recreation Area. If you don’t see your town on the list and are located near them, give us a call or text and we’ll let you know if you are within our delivery area.
• The current pricing has been based on the gas and diesel markets and represents our best estimates at this time. If we see extreme fluctuations in the fuel industry or other related markets to our services, we will need to alter the pricing structure again and we are reserving this right. When you request a delivery, we will honor the pricing we quote you at that time.
